We’ve all been told to check out a used car’s history before buying one, but what about a home?
Realtor.com and startup Porch announced recently that they will begin offering information about the remodeling history of for-sale homes listed on Realtor.com.
The information, called the Porch Home and Neighborhood report, will include home and project history, neighborhood home improvement insights, and neighborhood stats.
Is this a good idea? Would you use it to sell your home? Tell us what you think!

Thank you for giving us 200 more reasons to smile every day.
To all of our longtime friends: Thanks for your support.
To all of our new friends: Welcome aboard.
It’s been a great start to 2014 for MK Remodeling & Design.
First, we surpassed 150 likes on Facebook, and have our eyes set on hitting 200.
Then, we opened MK Design Shop, which now offers several light fixtures for purchase. We are also looking to expand the shop to include faucets and other accessories for your home.
Third, we started offering financing to our clients. Our 36- and 60-month terms feature no prepayment penalty, and will help more people realize their remodeling goals.
And between that, CFO James Gillis’ work was published in a textbook, and the Better Business Bureau awarded us an A+ rating.
Through all of this, one thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to our clients.
We’ll leave the last word to them.
“You all were a pleasure to work with!” says Vicki, a recent customer. “Thank you! We love the addition!
“My son said he is glad the project is done, but he will miss seeing Mike!”
