In honor of us opening up our MK Design shop I thought I would cover what to consider when purchasing an overhead light fixture since light fixtures can completely transform a space, adding luxury and glamour and functionality. When picking a light fixture, there are 5 questions that can really help you narrow down your options. They are highlighted in the pictures below. Small bathrooms are the trickiest of them all. How do you fit everything in such a small space? Shower, toilet, vanity, AND storage? Now things are just getting cluttered and takes away functionality and aesthetic of the space. So what can you do? Here are a few ideas that can help with that tiny bathroom that you thought had no hope.

Gray cabinets seem to be popping up everywhere. They are a great touch to any kitchen or bathroom since they highlight the colors around them. Warm woods, light granites and marbles just seem to go hand in hand with this trend that is blowing up. They also pair beautifully with white cabinets and even can pull off brass cabinet handles, which is not easy to do by any means. They provide a beautiful alternative to white and really give a subtle elegance without much effort.
