The Houzz and Home survey was released this week, and its numbers suggest people are remodeling to stay in their homes for the long haul.
Among the highlights:
- Sixty-six percent of non-millenial homeowners who are remodeling plan to stay in their home for the long term.
- Fifty-three percent of U.S. homeowners are remodeling to increase the value of their home, but do not plan to move for at least five years.
- Fifty-two percent of homeowners planning a project in the next two years are looking to hire a general contractor.
